Aor Operations Director Asian Spirit - Entrevista

MEET OUR TEAM.
AOR, OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Today we introduce you to Aor, our Director of Operations, an approachable, determined, and direct mind who moves with ease between operational precision and a passion for well-planned trips. Born in Bangkok, a city that breathes history, rhythm, and contrasts, Aor is one of those people who understands tourism from the inside: with respect, local knowledge, and a healthy obsession with making sure everything works as it should.

A lover of history, nature, and ancient cities, he finds his greatest motivation in sharing places that leave a lasting impression, from Thailand's historic parks to carefully curated authentic cultural experiences. His work ensures that each itinerary is not only memorable, but also safe, seamless, and aligned with Asian Spirit's values of quality and excellence.

Today, he invites us to learn about his vision of travel, his experience in the sector, and those little stories that only someone with a deep knowledge of the destination can tell.

Define yourself in three words

What is your position at Asian Spirit?

Aor Operations Director Asian Spirit - Entrevista

Describe the moment when you thought, “This is why I work at a DMC.”

I have always been fascinated by history and nature, which makes me feel a special passion for ancient cities such as Thailand's historic parks and the pyramids of Egypt. I enjoy sharing these wonderful places with others, and I like to ensure that every travel experience is memorable and managed with excellent service, knowledge, and safety.

What is the strangest or most specific request a customer has ever made to you, and what did that teach you about the tourism business?

I have handled very unusual requests, such as taking clients to a Christmas Mass, or guiding them through a mangrove swamp to catch and eat fresh seafood, or preparing meals that followed strict religious rules!

If our company Asian Spirit were a superhero, what would be its superpower and what would be its nemesis city?

Asian Spirit superpower would be to create unforgettable, tailor-made travel experiences instantly. Its nemesis would be Sukhothai, as it has Thailand's oldest historical legacy and was the mother city of many provinces. It remains an impressive place, full of beauty.

What is that essential local Thai knowledge for your work that a foreigner would never imagine?

It is essential to understand the nuances of Thai etiquette and cultural expectations: how to greet monks properly, how to behave in religious sites, or how to handle interactions during festivals. Visitors may not realize how much these small gestures can influence a customer's experience. Mastering these details ensures smooth, respectful, and memorable trips.

What is the best compliment a customer has given you or the company?

For me, the comments we receive on all our online channels and in person always speak to the great service provided by our team. Hearing how impressed customers are and how they share their experiences with others is the most rewarding recognition for me.

If you could only eat one Thai dish for the rest of your life, what would it be?

The Thai omelet. It's easy to prepare, easy to find, and very nutritious. It's a simple, delicious, and healthy option for any meal.

If you could instantly become an expert in any skill, what would it be?

I would like to become a specialized trainer, because that way I could share my experiences more effectively and convey knowledge in an inspiring and useful way to others.

What place in Thailand could you visit a hundred times without ever getting bored, and why?

Sukhothai and Chiang Mai. Both cities have a rich history and culture, with numerous ancient sites and festivals. In addition, the traffic is manageable, the cost of living is affordable, and I love the local cuisine.

If you had to lead a tour based solely on your personal hobby or obsession, what would it be called and what would be the first stop?

I would create a tour that combines urban art, local culture, crafts, and places that transport visitors to traditional ways of life. In Chiang Mai, there are still well-preserved communities that maintain these styles, such as Baan Khang Wat and Wiang Kum Kam.

What does our department do that you know makes life easier for another department right away?

I would say that we strive to turn difficult tasks into simple, manageable processes, which instantly makes the work of other departments easier.

To know Aor is to discover the perfect balance between leadership, cultural sensitivity, and dedication to service. His approach to operations—transforming complexity into clear and efficient processes—has a direct impact on the entire team and, above all, on the final experience of our travelers.
